November 12, 2008 - Riverside City, CA Local 1067 responded beyond the call of duty for its first Fill-the-Boot campaign, raising more than $30,000.

With the help of Local 1067 President Tim Strack and Executive Board of Directors Dave Hernandez and Vince Rodgers, Local 1067 members worked on duty during the three-day event in October. In addition, more than 30 off-duty personnel came out to support Jerry Kids. The City even posted a video on its web site to promote the event.

Fill-the-Boot Coordinator Vince Rodgers says, “We are very happy with the results. We’re already putting together a plan to raise more money next year.”
