Residential Program Scholarship

Purpose:
This scholarship is awarded to IAFF members in good standing with an IAFF Local Affiliate to attend the LCC Residential Program in Ottawa.
A separate application for admission must be completed and sent directly to the LCC. For more information, go to www.labourcollege.ca. IAFF scholarship applicants are encouraged to
prepare their LCC application in advance so it can be
submitted before the College's deadline of December 9th.

Amount of Scholarship: $1,000
plus tuition
Award Dates:
One scholarship is awarded annually for the
upcoming four-week session. Winners will be notified in
January.
Selection Criteria:
Awards are given to members who have demonstrated active participation within their IAFF local affiliate as an officer, committee member, etc.
How to Apply:
Applications must include:
- A completed
IAFF Scholarship Application Form.
- A short statement (about 500 words) on one of the following topics:
- What are your personal interest in attending the Labour College of Canada Residential Program?
- What do you consider to be the major problems facing the labor movement in Canada today?
- What do you consider to be the major problems facing the fire fighter in the labor union movement today?
