Online registration will be available beginning on August 11, 2008.


Directions

  1. Obtain approval from your affiliate president to attend this event.
  2. Three Ways to Register:
    • Online: http://www.iaff.org/alts/ (Visa or MasterCard only) (Register Online)
    • Fax: (202) 737-8418, Attn: Education Department (Visa or MasterCard only) (Download Registration Form)
    • Mail: Send the registration form with a check or money order to:

    Participants who choose the fax or mail option should complete the back of the registraion form and have their local president sign it. A separate registration form should be completed for each participant.
  3. Registration is $400. Participants can also register for the following pre-conference events for additional fees:
    • Fire Ops 101 (Train-the-Trainer) (Saturday, December 6, $40)
    • New Leader Seminar (Sunday, December 7, $40)
  4. Once registered, the IAFF will send you a confirmation letter and your class schedule.
  5. If mailing or faxing an application, make sure to provide an e-mail address where a confirmation e-mail can be sent.
  6. You may cancel your registration until November 15, 2008 for a full refund. Requests must be made in writing and sent to the IAFF, Attn: Department of Education, 1750 New York Ave., NW, Washington, DC, 20006, or sent via fax to (202) 737-8418.

FIREPAC Contribution

IAFF members can make a FIREPAC contribution and register for ALTS December 2008 in one step. This FIREPAC option is available only to IAFF members. U.S. federal election law prohibits the solicitation of non-IAFF members. U.S. IAFF members selecting the FIREPAC option must submit their own personal checks or use their own personal credit cards. Federal election law prohibits FIREPAC from accepting union or corporate money. One person cannot write a personal check or use a personal credit card to cover multiple registrants contributing to FIREPAC. Canadian IAFF members selecting the FIREPAC option may submit a check or money order.

Please note that contributions to FIREPAC are not tax deductible. Previous FIREPAC contributions and monthly deductions cannot be applied toward registration.

FIREPAC Contribution

There are two options for making FIREPAC contributions:

  1. FIREPAC Leadership Trust ($500 and above contribution)
    IAFF members making a personal, voluntary contribution of $500 or more to FIREPAC will be enrolled in the FIREPAC Leadership Trust and registered for ALTS December 2008. Those who register in this way will receive a Leadership Trust pin, Weber Q120 Portable Grill, and recognition in the International Fire Fighter.
  2. FIREPAC Founders Circle ($400 contribution)
    IAFF members who make a $400 contribution to FIREPAC will join the FIREPAC Founders Circle and will be enrolled in ALTS December 2008. Those who register in this way will receive a Founders Circle pin, an embroidered IAFF logo fleece stadium blanket, a large golf umbrella with the IAFF logo, and recognition in the International Fire Fighter.

 PLEASE NOTE: NO FIREPAC DONATIONS CAN BE MADE BY CREDIT CARD IF YOU ARE AN IAFF MEMBER IN CANADA.
