Earn College Credits - American Council on Education (ACE)

The American Council on Education’s College Credit Recommendation Service (ACE CREDIT) has evaluated and recommended college credit for three (3) of the International Association of Fire Fighters-HazMat/WMD training courses.  The American Council on Education, the major coordinating body for all the nation's higher education institutions, seeks to provide leadership and a unifying voice on key higher education issues and to influence public policy through advocacy, research, and program initiatives.

For more than 30 years, colleges and universities have trusted ACE CREDIT to provide reliable course equivalency information to facilitate their decisions to award academic credit. For more information, visit the ACE CREDIT website at: http://www.acenet.edu/acecredit.

For the benefit of our students, the International Association of Fire Fighters participates in the American Council on Education’s (ACE) Transcript Service.  The ACE Transcript Service offers a lifelong record for students who have successfully completed our courses that have been reviewed by ACE CREDIT.  This service enables adult learners to present a nationally recognized transcript to the college or university of their choice for the potential award of academic credit.  For more information, click ACE CREDIT Transcript Service.

The American Council on Education (ACE) has evaluated IAFF training programs to validate course quality and recommend college credit. The ACE review is a thorough process that stresses academically sound methods to ensure that all ACE approved courses offer consistent, high-quality educational opportunities to all adult learners. The following courses have been accepted for recommended college credits in lower division baccalaureate/associate degree category for Fire Science, Emergency Medical Technology, Administration of Justice, Police Science, Health Technologies, Public Administration, Health and Safety Management, or Industrial Management:
