Placement of IAFF-MG Colors, Patches and Other
Insignia
The IAFF-MG Colors have been defined as all patches
and insignias issued to members by the IAFF-MG. The IAFF-MG Colors feature the
IAFF logo, eagle wings, two cross axes with the American and Canadian flags, a
top rocker with the word "Firefighters" and a bottom rocker with the IAFF-MG
member's District number.
The placement or mounting of the IAFF-MG Colors
will be on the back of a black leather vest or jacket. The Colors will be worn
on the rear of the vest from top to bottom and in the middle as noted below
(also see photos above):
►The FIREFIGHTERS rocker
►Center patch (logo with wings)
►District rocker
NOTE: No other patches shall ever be worn on the rear of the vest or jacket that
displays the IAFF-MG Colors.
Patches or other insignias may be placed/worn on
the front of the vest or jacket that displays the IAFF-MG Colors. If
patches/insignias are worn on the front of the vest or jacket, then they shall
be mounted as follows: The following patches shall
be worn on the upper right front of the vest of jacket from top to bottom:
►American flag or Canadian flag
►State/province
►Home city NOTE: At
no time shall any patch be worn on the upper left front of the vest or jacket
from top to bottom.
The following patches shall be
worn on the upper left front of the vest or jacket from top to bottom:
►Nickname/moniker (full members only)
►IAFF logo
►IAFF local number patch
►IAFF-MG Charter Member rocker (if applicable)
►IAFF-MG membership renewal rocker (IAFF-MG 2007 and
beyond)
NOTE: IAFF-MG Charter Members are those members who joined the IAFF-MG on or
before September 15, 2005. With this recognition, the IAFF-MG member has the
right to wear a "Charter Member" rocker or patch on the front of the vest or
