2nd Annual Go for Gallardy Poker Run
The IAFF-MG 4th District invites all IAFF-MG
members to join Altoona, PA Local 299 and Johnstown, PA
Local 463 for the Go for Gallardy Poker Run to remember
fallen brother Bob Gallardy. This 95-mile ride begins in
Johnstown, Pennsylvania, and continues across the mountains
to Altoona and then back during the 10th Annual Thunder in
the Valley Motorcycle Rally Friday June 22, 2007.
Altoona and Johnstown members will lead riders in the 2nd
Annual Go for Gallardy Poker Run, Friday morning June 22, 2007. This
official IAFF-MG 4th District ride is held each year in memory of Captain
Robert Gallardy of the Altoona Fire Department and Altoona Local 299 who
died in the line of duty on October 25, 2005. In addition, the Captain Bob
Gallardy Fire Service Education and Safety Fund was established to pay for
fire fighter training.
Johnstown’s Thunder in the Valley Motorcycle Rally will be
held June 21-24, 2007, and is open to all bikes and bikers, bringing more
than 180,000 motorcycle enthusiasts to the region. For information about the

Registration is from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Friday June
22, 2007, on Walnut Street across from the Train Station, 60 Walnut Street,
Downtown Johnstown, PA. The ride will be a staggered start with 25 bikes per
group. The first group will leave at 9:15 a.m., and the last group will
depart at 12:00 p.m. To pre-register a specific start time for your group,

This scenic 95-mile ride crosses the Allegheny Front twice,
visits Altoona Fire headquarters and travels through both the Pennsylvania
Railroad Horseshoe Curve and the Johnstown Flood National Memorial. Cost is
$20 per single rider; $35 per couple.
Join your union brothers and sisters for food, beverages and
poker hand prizes across from the Train Station at the Thunder Pub staffed
by the Johnstown fire fighters following the ride.
