2003 JUDGES' AWARDS

This year, the IAFF Media Awards Contest judges have granted two special awards for special contributions made to highlight fire fighter issues.

www.Firehouse.com has developed into the preeminent web source for news and information for the entire fire service. Under the guidance of President Dave Ianonne, the staff of Firehouse.com and its sister publication Firehouse magazine put the IAFF and its issues front and center.

Rhonda Shearer’s skillful research conclusively put to rest the scurrilous innuendo that helped William Langewiesche sell his book, “American Ground.” By taking apart Langewiesche’s charges against the fire fighters buried at Ground Zero, Shearer proved that in the end the truth will win out - and our brothers’ memory shall be honored.
