ASPCA Seeks Nominations for Fire Fighter of the Year Award
July 30, 2007 – The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA)
is calling for nominations for its Fire Fighter of the Year award, given to a
professional fire fighter who has made a heroic effort to save an animal in the
past year.
In addition, the ASPCA is seeking nominations for Dog of the Year for a dog who
has performed a heroic act in the past year; Cat of the Year for a cat who has
performed a heroic act in the past year; Kid of the year for a child under 14
who has rescued an animal; and Law Enforcement Officer of the Year for a heroic
effort to save animal in the past year.
Send nominations via the ASPCA web site,
and include the nominee’s name, address, email and phone number and a short
statement (400 words or less) about why the nominee deserves the award. The
deadline for entries is 12:00 noon Eastern Time on August 15, 2007.
Winners are invited to the Humane Awards Luncheon in New York City on November
1, 2007.
